Parts Of Your Body That Are Sold For Profit

5. EggsMen are not the only ones that can make money out of donations that will help couples to conceive. Egg donation refers to the process when a woman goes through a part of the IVF, in order to have some of her eggs collected. After that, she can donate them to someone for treatment, training, or fertility research.

In conformity with the Center for Human Reproduction, women can sell their eggs for as much as $8,000 for every cycle that is completed.

The amount of money is bigger than what men will earn for their sperm donations, but that is because egg donation is a more complicated process. This involves needles, such as self-injections with hormonal medications.

6. Your skin

This one is the craziest one yet! You surely haven’t thought about it, so no wonder it’s going to blow your mind!

There are companies around the world that are willing to pay you a good amount of money to use your skin as their advertising space. For example, a woman sold her forehead to an online casino. As crazy as it sounds, they tattooed their URL on her forehead and paid her $10,000.

If you think about it, the online casino didn’t pay that woman enough, if we compare it to the amount of money that a web-page designer named Andrew Fischer received for his forehead. He sold his skin to SnoreStop as an advertising space.

For a month of using his forehead as advertising space, he received over $37,000. If someone opts for temporary tattoos, they will be paid, but not as much as for a permanent tattoo.

7. Bone marrow

Although it is illegal to purchase or to sell organs in the United States of America, there are exceptions in several states, when it comes to bone marrow.

You might not know about it, but the human body is able to replenish its marrow just like it does with blood. This means that if you sell a part of your bone marrow, it won’t be like you would sell a kidney, because your body will make sure to replenish it.

If someone is willing to sell their bone marrow, they will earn up to $3,000, as The Wire says. The process of the actual donation is painful and there is about a 1-in-540 chance that a genetic match will be found.
