US States With the Highest Number of Anti-vaxxers

There’s another recent study, published in the journal “PLOS ONE”, that explained how a social movement of public health vaccine opposition has been increasing in the last few years. Ever since 2009, the “philosophical belief” vaccine nonmedical exemptions has increased in 18 states that are currently encouraging this attitude, such as:

1. Arkansas
2. Arizona
3. Idaho
4. Maine
5. Minnesota
6. North Dakota
7. Ohio
8. Oklahoma
9. Oregon
10. Pennsylvania
11. Texas
12. Utah

Below there is a list of states with the lowest estimated vaccination rates:

• Missouri – 85.8 percent
• Indiana – 87.0 percent
• Colorado – 87.2 percent
• Alaska – 75.1 percent
• Wyoming – 77.6 percent
• Mississippi – 49.8 percent
• California – 64.7 percent
• Nevada – 66.0 percent
• Ohio – 67.2 percent
• Georgia – 65.6 percent
• South Carolina – 66.0 percent

These stats are pre-pandemic. Given the appearance of the novel coronavirus, the discussion about whether you should get vaccinated or not has been brought to the table, and it’s not leaving anytime soon.
