When Will the COVID-19 Vaccination Begin? Dr. Fauci Has the Answer!

According to Fauci, the first vaccine doses will come next month.

Rachel Martin, the host, asked Fauci where the vaccine rollout stands at the moment, Fauci explained that things are on the right path as both pharmaceutical companies Moderna and Pfizer are waiting for governmental approval.

According to Fauci, “The timeline of getting the doses into the vials and available for vaccination are going to be a graded process. It’s not going to happen all at once.”

“At best, what we will see is that some people—generally the highest priority that’s determined by an advisory committee and ultimately the CDC—will likely be some getting vaccinated towards the end of December,” he added.

Are We Immune After Recovering from COVID-19?

The CDC will determine who should vaccinate first.

Most Americans are wondering who will get priority on vaccination, considering that some categories are more at risk than others. According to Fauci, health care workers, childcare givers, and teachers are expected to be the ones that will gain first access to vaccinations. Additionally, there are also other key demographics factors that will be taken into consideration.

“The recommendation of who that will be will be finalized by the CDC. Likely, [it] will be health care workers, as well as people who are at high risk for serious disease,” Fauci said.

There will be a list of people who are at the highest risk, including the elderly and those who suffer from serious conditions like diabetes, or those who are vital to our society, like health care workers. Moreover, as you go down the list you’ll find the ones that are less at risk.
