Mars has a very similar day cycle as we do, on Earth. A Martian day, also known as “sol,” lasts 24 hours, 39 minutes, and 35 Earth seconds. So, a day on Mars is only 40 minutes longer than a day on Earth.
The first-ever country that attempted to travel to Mars, was the Soviet Union in 1960, but the mission turned unsuccessful. Furthermore, The U.S. was the first nation that actually made it to the Red Planet, when Mariner 4 successfully did it for the first time in July 1965.
Unfortunately, there haven’t been any confirmed sightings of tiny green creatures on Mars, yet. However, it has been found proof of persistent liquid water, microbe-supporting chemistry, organic molecules, active methane and lots, and lots of rocks. Did I bore you?
