Lyme disease.

Lyme disease is a vector-borne disease and the most common of this kind in the United States. Lyme disease can be transmitted to humans through the bite of an infected black-legged tick. While being bitten by a thick is definitely not a nice experience, it can lead to serious health problems if the tick is carrying the virus that’s causing the Lyme disease.

As data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has shown, the virus that can transmit Lyme disease in humans is called Borrelia burgdorferi. This is a very dangerous disease that could lead to death when not treated properly.

The most common symptoms include headaches, fever, fatigue, and skin rashes. If not treated properly, it could spread to the heart joints and even the nervous system. However, the virus can be killed when discovered early, with the help of antibiotics, the CDC reports.
