The Empire State Building is one of the most beautiful buildings that exist. When you’re on the top floor, you can feel like you have the power to rule the world or even kill someone with a penny – at least this is what some people say. FAKE!
There is a myth which says that if you drop a penny from the top floor of this enormous building, it would accelerate so much, to the point that it would kill a person that is walking on the sidewalk below.
There is no such thing as that, because in reality, the penny will reach an incredible speed, between 30 and 100 miles per hour, depending on the wind.
If someone is on the sidewalk and gets hit by that penny, it would hurt, but they won’t die.
Many people know from the childhood that bats are blind and that at night time, they can hit people when they fly, because yes, they are not able to see.
The truth is that bats can actually see, but only in black and white and they also can see better at night than people do, due to their echo location abilities. On the other hand, bats don’t have color receptors, but it’s not something so different from us, if we’re thinking that when it’s dark, we can’t see colors either.
