Cancer is not a disease that only people can get. There are a lot of animals, such as dogs and cats that are diagnoses with this deadly disease.
There is a myth out there which says that sharks can’t get cancer, when in reality they can, but not very frequently. These animals have a compound which is called “angiogenin inhibitor”, which reduces a tumor’s ability to spread.
With this compound, the tumor won’t be able to form blood vessels in order to process waste products. This means that the tumors will pass away by simply drowning in their own waste.
Having angiogenin inhibitor can help sharks prevent cancer, but if they get diagnosed, they are not able to cure it. Also, according to research, there is no connection between angiogenin inhibitor and human use.
This myth, which says that mice make elephants scared, came from children’s stories. It would look ridiculous to see such enormous creatures being afraid of little animals. But if we compare this with human beings, is just like the situations where people are afraid of bugs.
Even though this myth is fake, elephants have poor vision and they can’t move very fast. This means that although they are big animals, they can still be surprised when a small animal, such as a mouse or a bird, walks by.
