The first computer was invented by Charles Babbage, an English mechanical engineer, and polymath at the beginning of the 19th century. We come from a generation that was raised in a world where computers existed, so it’s almost impossible to imagine how our lives would have been without them.
In this day and age, we use a computer for almost everything. We use them for work purposes, for studies, and also as an entertainment source. Everything we do, we do on a computer. These complex machines offer the most high-paying jobs in the world, and knowing how to use one is mandatory no matter what job you have. At some point or another, you will need to know how to use one.
This is also one of the most remarkable inventions that made our lives easier, as it offered a lot of help for students and professionals as well. Plus, it’s almost impossible to get bored if you own a computer.
While it’s true that we can’t live without computers, phones, and the internet, nothing would be possible without electricity. We use it for almost everything we do, from the simple things we take for granted such as electric lighting to the more specific things that could never exist without electricity, like using aircon or computers.
We can’t even imagine a world without electricity so I think we can all agree that it is one of the greatest discoveries ever made!
