Intelligence contractor Edward Snowden released numerous top-secrets documents in June 2013, including information about our sophisticated intelligence and information about other Western countries as well.
In those documents, there was also proof about methods in which the US government spies on civilian populations around the globe. How they managed to do that? Well, everything was done with the help of Facebook, Google, and other platforms.
As data from the Electronic Frontier Foundation (the EFF) has shown, the Us government sent 50,000 requests for user data to Facebook in 2016, followed by 27,850 to Google, and 9,000 to Apple.
