When you eat, many functions and organs, such as your mouth, esophagus, stomach, liver, pancreas, and intestines are working together in order to break down and digest the food you’re eating. But that’s not all, they’re also extracting the nutrients you need in order to be healthy.

These internal processes are working together, and their main goal is to keep you alive. Most of the time, we have no idea what goes on in our bodies. But even though you probably understand the standard functions that keep us going, there’s still a lot you might not know about your amazing body.
