How the universe was formed is still unknown to scientists. But there’s something else that they don’t know about it: how it will end; because it will at some point. Given that the existing life on earth is supported by the sun, which, like all stars, will eventually go out, researchers believe that Earth will no longer be livable one day and all (or most) life forms will disappear.
What they don’t know is how this will happen. According to various theories, the fate of the universe depends on various factors such as its shape, density and the percentage of dark matter that makes up the universe. Most of us will probably not be around to find out, anyway.
