Henry Ford

Henry Ford was born on July 30, 1863, in Springwells Township, Wayne County, Michigan, and died on April 7, 1947, in Fair Lane, Dearborn, Michigan. He was an American industrialist, business magnate, and founder of the Ford Motor Company.

He was also the one that created the first ‘affordable’ automobile, that even the middle-class could drive. Let’s not forget that back then, cars represented more of an expensive curiosity, than a necessity, but Ford managed to transform it into an accessible conveyance.

His creations definitely revolutionized transportation and improved the American industry altogether. As the founder and owner of the Ford Motor Company, he gained recognition all over the world and became one of the richest men during those times. He focused on delivering a very good product but also systematically lowering costs.

He also created dealerships in North America, but also in big cities all over the world. By 1918, almost half of the cars in the United States were Model Ts, the upgraded model of the Model T, that was released 19 years prior.
