Giant sea bass

Between the Humboldt Bay in California to the tip of Baja California, giant sea bass is critically endangered due to overfishing and has been listed by the IUCN since 1996.
While juveniles are found at depths of approximately 40 to 70 feet, where they swim around kelp beds, adults prefer depths of almost 100 feet.
