Arakan Forest Turtle
Arkan forest turtle lives in Myanmar, Asia, and has been considered extinct for almost a century. Scientists labeled Arakan forest turtles as being extinct in 1908 until they were spotted again in 1994.
Back in the day, people used to believe that Arakan forest turtles had mystical and medical properties, and they were consumed by locals in order to cure problems such ad unhappiness, infertility, and even poverty.
At the moment, the Arakan forest turtle is considered endangered, and their life is threatened by bamboo harvesting, logging, and agriculture.
