Which was first, the chicken or the egg?
According to British scientists, eggshells cannot form without a certain protein produced in chicken ovaries, which means the chicken came first. However, researchers also agree that there are other species that laid eggs long before chickens ever came into existence, which means eggs may have appeared before chickens did. And so, we’re back where we started, yet again.
The truth is the adjustment or organisms to their environment, or simply called, evolutionary adaptation, makes it practically impossible to say which was first.
