How did life begin?
All life on Earth, not only human life. There are numerous theories as to how life on our planet began, from those saying that life appeared the moment the environment on Earth became stable enough to support it to those claiming did not start on Earth at all but was brought from outer space.
“Many theories of the origin of life have been proposed, but since it’s hard to prove or disprove them, no fully accepted theory exists,” says Diana Northup, a cave biologist at the University of New Mexico.
Scientists estimate that our planet is around 4.5 billion years old, which means that’s probably when life also appeared. As to how it appeared…no one can say for sure yet.
