7. The world’s most famous UFO sighting happened in Flora, Mississippi.

February 10, 1977, is a very significant day in the history of UFO conspiracy theories. It was the day several police officers said they saw a mysterious object hovering in the sky in Flora, Mississippi, over the top of the forest.

“It was approximately 15 to 18 feet off the ground, blue in color, kind of metallic blue, portholes around the center of it, shaped like an old spinning top kids used to use,” one of the officers said.
The officers pursued the UFO until it disappeared over the tree line. One witness, who requested to stay anonymous, believes the CIA told others to stop talking about the Flora UFO sighting.

Since that night in 1977, witness Pat Frascogna has been conducting research and gathering evidence, hoping to determine if the objects were terrestrial or not. While investigating, he stumbled upon something strange deep in the woods – two patches of earth where plants no longer grow. About 15’ in diameter, each patch is circular and completely devoid of plant life.

8. There have been many sightings of a Loch Ness-like monster at Flathead Lake, Montana.

The origins of an apparent Flathead Lake Monster originates with a local indigenous tribe, the Kutenai, traditional legend. It was supposedly first reported by Captain James C. Kerr and his 100 passengers on a steamboat after seeing a 30-to 40-foot-long creature in Flathead Lake in 1889. As of July 2018, according to NBC Montana, there were 109 sightings of a mysterious creature. According to the story, one of the passengers on the steamer shot at the creature and sent it diving for safety.

“I remember saying, ‘Look, look! That’s it! We’re seeing it!'” one witness told NBC. “I knew immediately because the descriptions are all the same. It was like 25 feet from what we could see and humps.” Some people said the monster matches the famous Loch Ness monster with “black steel eyes” and fins.
