Like the Delta variant wasn’t enough already, Covid-19 keeps pushing with another variant called Omicron. It had been discovered in South Africa, and many researchers believe that this is actually twice as dangerous as Delta. It has around 30 changes to spike protein, and it is even more contagious.
Some researchers think that Omicron has the ability to infect people who are immune to Delta due to the previous infection with Covid-19 or through vaccination. In addition to that, scientists consider that Omicron can evade immunity, which makes it even stronger, contagious, and dangerous.
