But what vaccine would experts get?
As Dr. Moll has explained, he would prefer to get either Pfizer or Moderna, since these two vaccines do not present the risk of blood clotting. However, he would still get the Johnson & Johnson vaccine if it would be the only vaccine available, rather than not getting vaccinated at all.
Dr. Ansell also said that his daughter received the Johnson & Johnson vaccine just a few weeks ago, and he doesn’t believe we should let the rare blood clots stop us from getting the vaccine. Dr. Ansell also added that he would also get the Jenssen vaccine.
“I would not specifically recommend one vaccine above another. They are all very effective in preventing serious illness, hospitalization, and death. Individuals should feel safe and comfortable with whichever vaccine is being used at a particular site,” he added.
And Dr. Parikh believes the Johnson & Johnson vaccine is not risky at all, as the benefits still outweigh the risk, and that’s all that matters.
