“When you reach a certain critical point of the flexibility of hospital beds, and you see more cases of COVID coming in, you could have a real challenge—and maybe even a crisis—with regard to beds and personnel to take care of the people in those beds,” Fauci explained.
Fauci also mentioned that L.A. is now going through a pretty bad COVID-19 situation, and the state might be headed to a more serious lockdown. “That’s the reason why California has certain sections looking at the possibility of a lockdown,” Fauci added.

Fauci fears that more states will find themselves in the same situation as California.
Now that we’ve entered the holiday season and people are traveling to visit their families and loved ones, Fauci is concerned that more cities and states will find themselves in the same situation as California, so a new lockdown might be inevitable in some areas.
According to Fauci, the United States is currently going through a very hard time, and the situation is critical across the country. He also urged people to not ignore the facts and the numbers and to continue to follow all the safety measures needed to keep them safe from the virus.
