Thomas Jefferson and John Adams died on July 4th, a few hours of each other.

Former presidents Thomas Jefferson and John Adams had quite a tumultuous relationship over the years, with a lot of ups and downs, and twists and turns. Even though the two started as allies, they slowly became adversaries because of politics.

However, as the last two surviving members of the American revolutionaries from the British Empire, they finally managed to bury the hatchet. In their last years of life, the two corresponded by letters and had a pretty good relationship.

It’s very interesting how both of them died on the same day, the 4th of July to be more precise, only a few hours from one another, in the same year, 1826. Coincidence or nah?
