A father and his son lost their lives during the construction of the Hoover Dam, 14 years apart.
As data from the United States Bureau of Reclamation has shown, more than 21,000 people worked on Hoover Dam’s building, and there have been 96 deaths reported on the site. J.G. Tierney was the first death ever reported to the job site. He and other of his colleagues died by drowning while performing a geological survey.
If this wasn’t tragic enough for Tierney’s family, his son, Patrick, also lost his life in the same place, but 14 years apart. Patrick died on the exact same day as his father, and that was the first death reported at Hoover Dam’s construction.
Patrick Tierney fell from an electrical tower, according to the Las Vegas Review-Journal.

Michael Dick found his long-lost daughter, and believe it or not, she appeared in the background of his photo.
Michael Dick had divorced his first wife, and she took his daughter and moved to Suffolk, England. He never heard from them again, so ten years after, he decided to start looking for his daughter.
He traveled to Suffolk and reached out to a newspaper where he told his story, and asked them to publish a photograph of him, hoping that his daughter will recognize him. His daughter, Lisa, saw the photo, but she was surprised to see that she also appeared in the photo, somewhere in the background.
Michael has been only a few feet distance from his daughter without knowing.
