Witnessing one assassination is one thing, but three, and all among presidents is a whole another level of coincidence. But somehow, Robert Todd Lincoln managed to assist three of them in his life.
Even though Robert wasn’t present when his father was shot, he was there with him on his deathbed and kept him company until he passed away. A few years later, Robert Todd Lincoln also witnessed President James A. Garfield’s assassination.
If this wasn’t enough, he was also invited to Buffalo, New York by President William McKinley, on the exact day when the president was shot and assassinated.
