Warren Buffett

Warren Buffett was born on August 30, 1930, in Omaha, Nebraska, United States. He’s famously known as the Oracle of Omaha, and one of the most powerful and influential investors in the world. Buffett is an American business magnate, investor, and philanthropist.

Warren Buffett was born in a wealthy family, like his father, Howard Buffett was a U.S. Congressman, therefore, he was able to start his first business very early, back when he was in high school.

His first business consisted of buying a pinball machine and set it in a local barbershop. His idea seemed very good at that time, and he became even more interested in investing when he discovers that it was profitable, as well.

He started Buffett Partnership Ltd. soon after he graduated with a Master of Science in Economics at the Columbia University in 1951. He became a millionaire in a relatively short period of time, due to his investment partnerships based mainly on his intuition.

He also became the CEO of Berkshire Hathaway in 1965, lasting until the present moment, and took the company to incredible heights of success. But he didn’t stop there, as he wanted to grow his empire. Therefore, he showed interest in companies such as Coca-Cola, ABC, Washington Post, and others.

That’s exactly how Warren Buffett ‘upgraded’ from being a millionaire to being a billionaire. Nowadays, Buffett is focused on charity, making huge donations to the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.
