Why do chameleons change colors?
The most obvious answer would be to match their environment and blend in. But the real answer is that they do it to regulate their body temperature to the outside temperature since they don’t generate their own heat. In addition, male chameleons change their colors to pink, turquoise, or yellow to communicate and mate with a female chameleon.
According to scientists, darker colors mean that a chameleon is angry while lighter colors help them attract mates.
