Onanism is another term used for masturbation, and it is derived from Genesis, when Judah’s son, Onan, was forced to have intercourse with his brother’s widow because that was the law back then.
The onanism device was very famous in the early 20th century, back when “spermatorrhea” was considered very healthy. However, this device was definitely any teenager’s nightmare, as it was made from metal and they literally had to wear it all day long.
Besides being very uncomfortable, it was also quite embarrassing having to talk to your parents about the sins of masturbation.
