But what about dark energy?
While we’ve established that only 5 percent of the universe is baryonic matter, and 24 percent of it consists of dark matter, the other 70 percent is believed to be dark energy. We don’t have a lot of information about dark energy at the moment, but scientists have discovered that it has a gravitationally repulsive effect, which is the exact opposite of gravitational pull.
The gravitationally repulsive effect is also responsible for the expansion of the universe. But even today, scientists do not have an exact definition of dark matter, and NASA is still questioning whether Albert Einstein got the theory of gravitation wrong.
