This inn from Stockbridge, Massachusetts has long been a favorite haunt of paranormal investigators and mediums. In conformity with experts and guests, it is said that the fourth floor has the most activity.

Several visitors have reported seeing a “ghostly young girl carrying flowers” and “a man in a top hat,” as well as feeling someone standing over their beds, cold spots, inexplicable knocks, and even electrical issues. People believe that guestroom 301 is a popular haunting hangout.

5. Hotel Monteleone

The hotel Monteleone from New Orleans, Louisiana is believed to be haunted by a spirit of a maid nicknamed “Mrs. Clean”. When paranormal investigators asked the ghost why she lingered, the maid explained that she was picking up after housekeeping to ensure good standards.

Who doesn’t love a ghost who takes care of guests, right? As it turns out, everything was a family business, because her mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, all worked at the hotel.

6. Moana Surfrider, A Westin Resort & Spa

The sudden death of Jane Stanford, who was co-founder of Stanford University, made headlines on February 28, 1905. She died in her hotel room at the Moana while on vacation in Honolulu, Hawaii following a strychnine poisoning attempt on her life.

Several visitors and employees have noticed her spirit wandering about late at night looking for her room.
