Anthony Hopkins happened to find the exact book he needed, in a train station.
Another incredible coincidence happened in the early 1970s when Anthony Hopkins was chosen to play Kostya, in The Girl from Petrovka film. But in order to prepare for the role, he thought it would be important to read the book first.
The only problem was that he wasn’t able to find the book even though he searched for it in many, many book stores. However, one time he was sitting in a London Tube station when he saw the exact book he was looking for, abandoned on a chair.
It’s very probable that someone left it behind unintentionally, and Hopkins was very lucky to find it. Also, when he opened the book, he was very surprised to see that it was signed by George Feifer, its author.
