The Smoke Canceler
In the mid-20th century, people started realizing that smoking is actually bad and could contribute to a lot of health problems. Therefore, the Smoke Canceler was a very clever invention that became very popular during those times.
This little device is exactly what its name says, and it was meant to protect consumers. It was a metal device with a small hole where you should have put the cigarette and apparently, it would prevent you from inhaling the smoke.
And no, this device did not work, because even those that used it could still develop cancer later on, with or without a Smoke Canceler.
