Your body can still move after death!

Yes, as creepy as it might sound, this is actually true. You’ve probably seen this happening in movies, even though it’s impossible to see such extreme movements in real life. However, our amazing bodies are able to do small movements even post-mortem.

But you shouldn’t expect those movements to resemble the ones your body makes while it is alive. Even so, they can still be very spooky. Dead bodies can move, twitch, and even reflex. This usually happens because your muscles are still receiving nerve signals to contract, causing small moves in the body.

After death reflexes are known as the Lazarus Sign, and usually, happen when your body goes brain dead. It can be very creepy to see, but dead bodies can raise their arms and drop them out of a sudden in a cross-like position.

Dead bodies can also move due to excess calcium, temperature change, or even due to violent death or electrocution. Therefore, paranormal horror movies did not lie so it would be a good idea to sleep with your light on tonight.
