How long it would take to get to the moon?
We’re used to relatively small distances here on earth, and we tend to measure distances by minutes, or hours. It takes 10 minutes to get to the store, 40 minutes to get to your workplace, and so on.
However, measuring distances in minutes in space is not possible due to its vastness. For determining how long it would take to go from Earth to the moon, for instance, we have to use years or light-years.
Were you ever curious to find out how long it takes to get to the moon? Well, apparently you’ll make those 239,000 miles in nine years. If you want to go to the nearest star, Proxima Centauri, it would take you 356 billion years if you maintain a steady 70 mph.
