According to Jason Reed, PharmD, director of production development at CenterX, “You want the immune system to see the antigen (the vaccine) and respond to it. Doing so is how your immune system creates antibodies and cells that can kill the virus if seen again after getting the vaccine.”
Therefore, Reed would recommend trying to avoid these meds a few days before getting vaccinated against COVID-19, as they have the ability to mute our immune system and affect our body’s natural defense.
