New stay-at-home orders in L.A.

Mayor Eric Garcetti implemented on Dec. 2 a new stay-at-home order, where people are no longer allowed to dine out and schools moved online, but retail stores and salons will continue to remain open as long as they’re following the specific precautions, such as operating at a 20 percent capacity and closing hours moved at 10 p.m.

Moreover, on Dec. 3, California Governor Gavin Newsom mentioned a new, more strict stay-at-home order which will be implemented in the hardest-hit areas of the state, where local hospitals’ ICU capacity dropped below 15 percent. The stay-at-home orders began in Southern California and San Joaquin Valley as of Dec. 6 in accordance with the mandate.
