You can pee and poop after death!
As previously mentioned, your body goes through a lot of changes after death, and one of those changes is the relaxation of every muscle in the body. Among those muscles, there are those that control certain bodily functions, responsible for the elimination of urine and feces.
So yes, dead bodies can still pee and poop. How strange is that? After the brain dies, it no longer holds the muscles contracted, therefore, the fecal matter that is still in the bowel will be released. However, this won’t happen with each death, as it depends very much on how the individual died and how much food and liquids are in the bladder and bowels before the time of death.
This usually happens in case of sudden death, rather than sick patients that might not have as much food in their bowel. However, this process usually takes hours, so you should definitely not rush it and let nature follow its course.
So yes, not only is death very ugly, but it also smells bad.
